Continuing Professional Development
ISME hopes to bring more opportunities to our members for Continuing Professional Developement (CPD) through specifically organised courses and events.
These courses will focus on key areas, such as:
knowledge and understanding
skill and aptitude
breadth of experience.
responding to a specific need
preparing for a specific role change
follow a particular career plan
improve a personal weakness in competence
keeping up to date with technology changes
While most professional development happens on the job, it is the responsibility of the individual to define their own learning needs and undertake appropriate CPD training if needed to maintain and develop the professional knowledge, skills, and competence they need.
ISME aims to base these courses around the needs of our members and department. We would love for you to let us know if any of the courses below are of interest to you, or if you are among the head of department or supervisor grades and you are worried about a competency gap in the department we encourage you to let us know so we can try to organise something specifically in this area.
